Nasta AS has been the official authorised dealer of Hitachi Construction Machinery in Norway for 38 years. The company was founded in 1929, when Søren Røed established a small petrol station in the town of Larvik. It has since grown to be one of the leading companies in the Norwegian construction machinery market.
Nasta's head office is still situated in Larvik, with seven other branches strategically located throughout the country. The company differentiates itself from the competition by offering service contracts and financial solutions to its loyal customer base. In addition, it has a special production department, where machines are refurbished and assembled according to customers' specific needs.
Nasta's top management at the company's headquarters in Larvik
Nasta celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2019 and a UH081 was brought back to its 'spiritual home' as a part of the celebrations. This coincided with Nasta's focus on classic construction equipment on its social media channels - highlighting its loyal customers and their reliable machinery. The UH081 was the first Hitachi construction machine sold by Nasta and it has the lowest serial number (16225) to verify this fact.
The machine arrived in Norway on 21 June 1982, along with two other Hitachi excavators. Øyvind Frustøl was the first owner of the UH081 when it was delivered in June 1983. The customer's logo is still displayed in pride of place on the original machine today.
The UH081 takes up residence at Nasta
The UH081 was discovered online by Nasta's used machinery salesman, Espen Andersen. There are several old Hitachi construction machines remaining in the Norwegian market, but this one caught his eye because of its low serial number. When Espen made his discovery, he bought it immediately and asked the dealer's after-sales department to give it a full technical refurbishment. The ultra-reliable machine is still working and Nasta is planning to give it a full interior and exterior refurb. It already has the UH081 proudly on display at its main Larvik office.
Fun fact: Espen Andersen was born exactly one month after the machine arrived in Norway, and so they are actually the same age!

|Feature||The UH083 was an export model of UH07-3 launched in 1977.
